I started weaving off loom many years ago and then moved to spinning all different fibres e.g. wool, mohair, silk, alpaca, cotton, flax etc and used these fibres to knit, crochet and weave.

Weaving has become my priority and patterns intrigue me as each one can be a challenge to duplicate in weaving and gives an endless supply of ideas to create a usable and beautiful fabric.

I use a 2,4 and 8 shaft loom and weave using a variety of fibres both commercials and hand spun.

I like colour and will dye a fibre if looking for that something different but find beautiful subtle colours and patterns can be obtained by using the natural colours of the fibres.

It is always a surprise to take something off the loom after many hours of work, to then see the result. Whether you stay with your original pattern or plan or make changes on the way you will always have a finished fabric that is unique and beautiful to look at as well as wearable.

Fibres used are- wool, mohair, silk, cotton, flax, alpaca, angora, camel, tensil, Yak. Dyeing with commercial dyes and eucalypts. Weaving with all fibres I have spun and also commercial fibres. Equipment used is Sickenger Spinning Wheel, 2, 4 and 8 Shaft Looms and Inkle Loom.
