Coralie’s paintings are images of the artistic journey that is her life. Filled with colour they are an invitation to take a look past the surface and find the expression of the particular purpose of each piece.
Her first exhibition was a series of semi-abstract nudes displayed on the walls of the famous Hong Kong bar, “Bottoms Up”. Life then intervened and artistic efforts were deferred until a few years ago when the beauty and possibilities of silk painting renewed the creative drive. Now, her adventures in art also include water colours and acrylics.
A sense of discovery is a big part of her work and she is always interested in the next challenge, exploring the relationships between light and shade within the shapes and trying to figure out how to achieve more with a lot less.
